Huawei has been doing really great when it comes to camera hardware as well as image processing. The intense zoom that the modern Huawei flagship offers is a result of the integration between high-end hardware and smart software. But, still, we will say Google Camera is way ahead of Huawei’s image processing. Huawei offers the best in the class hybrid zoom, whereas Gcam Google offers the best image processing along with the features like Astrophotography mode, Night Sight mode which is nothing but Night Mode.
Also, Huawei’s camera app cannot be used on any other Android device. Actually, no tech junkie wants to use it as much as they want to try the Google Camera. Even Google mentioned a lot earlier, GCam won’t be available for any other Android device.
But, as you may already know, there exist several ways by which you can experience GCam on your device. Be with us, we will be mentioning the guide to use Gcam on your device. Moreover, we will be including the links for the best Gcam for Huawei P40 here.
Google camera features:
So as mentioned above, we will be mentioning the guide for how to install and use Google Camera on your device. But, before we mention the links for the working Google Camera for your device, we would like to mention some of the features of the Google Camera that we liked the most. So, stay tuned, and make sure that you try out these features on your device.
We will start by praising the Dual Exposure feature of the Gcam. The feature is an advanced version of the HDR= feature, which is used by many smartphone makers along with Google. Well, with the Google Camera, Google took it to the next level and made an advanced version of the HDR mode. And now, users can easily choose the area they want to add the digital exposure to, and secondly, they can even choose the intensity of the exposure added. These features are not currently available with any other camera app on any smartphone out there. Google was the first one to do that.
Out second favorite will be the Astrophotography mode. the mode came a little later in the Google Camera with an update, The new feature lets you click photos of the night sky with an added filter by the Google Camera. Well, the type of filter and intensity of the feature is selected by the AI system of the Google camera. And the end results are always stunning. You will be able to click photos of the sky at the night like never before.

Google Camera Huawei P40 –
Huawei managed to do great research and development in image processing for their flagship camera-centric smartphones. Previous Huawei flagship devices have offered a great hybrid zoom. Well, unlike DSLR, modern smartphones rely on hardware as well as smart image processing software for features like hybrid zoom.
Well, Huawei might have beaten Google in the hybrid zoom feature, but if we talk about the usability of zoom, we would say that no one will be using features like 100x zoom in their daily life. Whereas, Google Camera’s features like Night Mode, smart dual exposure, video stability, make more sense.
Gcam is much better than the Huawei camera app and proved that the features provided by it make more sense for casual as well as hardcore users. But, the sad part is, none of the camera apps can be used on any other Android smartphone.
Google Camera is not available officially for other Android smartphones, but the developers out there have found several ways to port the best features of Google Camera to the modded app. These modded apps can be used on any Android device to experience the fantastic Google Camera.
Huawei P40 Specification –
Huawei released a series of smartphones under the P40-series. One of them is P40 which comes in two variants – 4G & 5G. Both the variants feature a beautiful 6.10-inch AMOLED display with a high resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The 5G variant of the device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G octa-core processor which is coupled with 8GB RAM.
Huawei P40 was released back in March 2020 and runs on Android 10 OS, which is also upgradeable to the new Android OS. The device features 128GB of internal storage with a decent battery capacity of 3800mAh.
Huawei P40 Camera –
The all-new Huawei P40 features a really interesting camera system. The vertical camera module carries a 50MP primary camera, a 16MP wide-angle camera, and finally an 8MP telephoto lens. No gimmicky macro lens, which is one of the least used lenses in a smartphone.
The front camera of the Huawei P40 is an interesting one too. The dual-camera setup sits inside the horizontal pill cut on the left side of the display. The module carries a 32MP + Infrared camera system for front selfies and video calls.
